Serving a one-year term, they will engage in new conversations and actively shape how the industry can better support our 18–24-year-olds. Keep checking in here to learn more about these leaders and their upcoming community projects!

These ten young people have been selected for a one-year term on our first-ever national youth advisory council, UpNext. Our council members have a commitment to a creative practice or in the creative economy; social justice awareness/commitment and experience with community organizing. Council members work with Music Forward staff to embody the values and goals of creative youth development and use their voices to drive creative expression, equity, and collective action. They actively participate in monthly Council meetings and regular committee meetings, serve as thought partners in organization-wide meetings contribute to communications and program strategy for the organization. They will have opportunities to establish cross-sector partnerships and connections with mentors to activate projects in their communities. Council activities provide a direct link for the youth voice to organizational leaders.
