BMG
BMG partnered with Music Forward to create paid internships all 3 semesters of 2023. Providing young people with the opportunity to explore jobs across the company and giving them invaluable access to industry work experience and networking opportunities with BMG professionals
Apogee
Apogee opened its doors to 30 young people to provide a deep dive into audio recording, the latest tech, best practices, and more. Giving young people access to their state-of-the-art technology and facility for an epic learning masterclass.
Citizens Live
The Citizens x Music Forward Internship returned summer 2023 providing another cohort of interns with unbeatable access to iconic Boston venues, job shadows, getting to learn the ins and outs of live venues, leading up to a final showcase put on fully by the interns.
Concord
Concord partnered with Music Forward to create paid internships all 3 semesters of 2023. Providing young people with the opportunity to explore jobs across the company and giving them invaluable access to industry work experience and networking opportunities with Concord professionals. As well as supporting All Access Fest: Live & Virtual.
Gov Ball
Gov Ball joined the roster of music industry scholarships offered by Music Forward. Founding the 7th scholarship on the list, the Governors Ball Scholarship offers $10,000 to a young person from one of the five burrows of New York City pursuing a degree in the music industry, with a preference to those interested specifically in festivals.
Inherit the Music
Music Forward and Inherit the Music joined forces a few times in 2023. From Music Forward moderating Inherit the Music panels to Inherit the Music presenting this year’s David E. Ballard Scholarship providing $10,000 to a student pursuing a career in the music industry who has been a part of the foster system and/or has experienced homelessness.
Music Drives Us
Music Drives Us returned as the presenting sponsor of Blues SchoolHouse as the program returned live at the Citizens House of Blues Boston.
Stem
Stem is rocking the Industry Sessions: Artist Readiness Series, providing inudstry pros for every session. They will help teach young people what it takes and the fundementals needed to be a successful music artist or to be on the artist team.
Los Angeles County Arts & Culture
Los Angeles County continues to support Music Forward programming in the area. With their support Music Forward has been able to bring their programs into classrooms across LAUSD and beyond in the LA area to help expand opportunities for often unnder represented youth.
Venice
Venice presented an in-depth Masterclass in partnership with Music Forward. Bringing young people into what they do, the tools the offer, how to utilize those resources, and beyond.
Affinity Plus
Affinity Plus once again presented this year’s Affinity Plus Scholarship providing two $5,000 scholarships to students pursuing a career in the music industry who reside in Minnesota or are a member of their credit union.
Live Nation
Live Nation as always remains a key partner in all Music Forward programing. From standing as a key sponsor as well as wrapping around our Industry Sessions: Career Readiness series, by providing industry HR pros for every session, and beyond.
Guitar Center
Guitar Center has also joined the Open Mic Firdays family this year providing the winners of each episode with a gift certificate to Guitar Center.

Sennheiser has continued its relationship with the Open Mic Fridays family providing industry quality headphones & microphones to Season 9, 10 & 11’s Fan Favorites and Industry Picks
Ross Dress For Less
Ross wrapped around Season 10 & 11 of Open Mic Fridays, sponsoring the program as well as providing the two season winners from each season with $150 gift cards to Ross so the can expand and hone their artist style.
Primary Wave
Primary Wave once again has opened it’s doors to mentor a handful of young people pursuing a career in music & live entertainment. Giving these young people the opportunity to learn from those who have come before them and get guidance along their journeys
