Spotlight: BMG Spring Interns

Three times a year, in partnership with BMG, we provide several diverse young people across Nashville, Los Angeles, and New York City with internships. These internships offer hands-on industry experience that help them to realize their potential. BMG helps us achieve our goal of championing a more inclusive music industry. We love how empowered our interns feel through this experience and we’re extremely grateful for BMG for helping us uplift this next generation!

Hear about their experiences below!

“This internship solidified my plan for the future of becoming a professional music marketer, especially for up-and-coming artists. During my time at BMG, I realized my passion lies in catering to music lovers through fan-to-artist strategy.” – Sanjana, Recorded Music intern.

“One of my favorite memories from my time at BMG was when my boss brought me along with him to the Queen + Adam Lambert concert! He secured me one of the last tickets, and I got to sit in the third row and get to meet people from other departments, network, and overall just get to meet new people in the industry! I have been a long time fan of Queen and Adam Lambert, so this was a very big deal to me. After the show I got to go backstage with the team and meet Adam! Definitely the craziest day as an intern. Another one of my favorite memories was getting to work on the roll out for Kylie Minogue. To have a small impact in a big project was a very proud moment for me- and the album went on to win a Grammy!” – Sam, Marketing intern.

“Throughout my time here, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with various facets of BMG’s operations. From attending multiple staff meetings to participating in artist development sessions and US recorded meetings, I’ve gained a comprehensive understanding of the company’s inner workings.” – Camden, Marketing intern.

This internship showed me how much is possible as a music fan. I’ve been able to work independently and have a small leadership role in the projects I’ve been given at BMG and it’s allowed me to see a different side of myself in the corporate world. Because of this, I’m actively making my way into the industry by connecting with more professionals and expanding my range of projects/skills.” – Britanni, Copyright Administration intern.

“My whole team really helped me to develop my skills and grow as an intern! My intern position was a Creative A&R intern! I learned how to chart songs from Billboard, tag songs, prepare lyric sheets, and so much more! I really enjoyed every bit of it and would go back in a heartbeat!” – Honoria, Creative A&R intern.
