I feel like, sometimes, parents discourage a career in music – and it was cool to hear stories and receive advice from young professionals who were in my shoes not too long ago.
Music Forward has provided me so many opportunities as a young artist, not only by providing me a platform to showcase my art, but by providing me with helpful tips and resources that you don’t usually learn in school. Programs like this are important because it gives us advice from people who are successful and who were just like us at one point.
I was interested in studying music technology. The program solidified my dreams of going into this industry and made me more confident and determined to pursue a career in music tech.
I have learned more about the music industry on a business and personal level during Music Forward workshops than in any classroom.
