Music Forward’s connection to House of Blues is undeniable. Our foundation is rooted in the values of the institution and specifically embedded in the Foundation Rooms.
Having been developed together, each complementing the other, our relationship with Foundation Room members began the moment we were established.
We are grateful for this partnership and honored that for 26 years we have called House of Blues and Foundation Room members family.
This fall, we went around to multiple Foundation rooms connecting members and Music Forward friends to music industry professionals and each other at Music Forward: Plugged In evenings, where we discussed topics around the current state of the industry and live entertainment, while classic HOB appetizers were passed and drinks were poured. We closed each night with meaningful performances by Music Forward alumni, Luna Monet, Noah Stephens, Kayla Erhardt, and Caitlyn Harris.
During this inaugural year, nearly 200 guests gathered at these events in Chicago, New Orleans, and Las Vegas. It was great seeing Foundation room members from Anaheim at our Vegas event, members from Chicago in New Orleans! Thank you to all who joined us!
We heard distinctive industry perspectives from influencers across the field, including Ron Bension (President of Live Nation Clubs & Theaters), Jeff McClusky (CEO of Jeff McClusky & Associates), Ryan Shea (VP of Operations at Live Nation Clubs & Theaters), Binta Brown (Head of Business Affairs at Nice Work), and singer/rapper Jean Deaux. I had the pleasure of meeting so many of you and getting to share the work and impact Music Forward is undertaking, and it was marvelous to be inside several House of Blues; what magnificent venues!
We have a responsibility to ensure our connection to our origins is nurtured and maintained. Throughout 2020 we will be rolling out opportunities for you to get engaged and will be hosting multiple Plugged In events across the country. Look out for upcoming invitations and join us at an event.
